Capcom presents Resident Evil: Revelations – 25th and 26th May

To promote the release of their upcoming title Resident Evil: Revelations, Capcom are holding the strangest (and most exciting) event we have seen for a while. They are going to to open a ‘blood’ filled swimming pool and they want you to swim in it.

Resident Evil: Revelations follows on from the awesome Resident Evil 6. This critically acclaimed survival horror title takes you back to the events that took place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, unleashing the truth about the T-Abyss virus. starring Resident Evil legends Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, plus their respective BSAA partners – Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat –  the action begins on board a supposedly abandoned cruise ship, the ‘Queen Zenobia’, where horrors lurk around every corner. If you survive, you’ll head off to the mainland and the devastated city of Terragrigia. With limited ammo and weapons available the race is on to survive the horror of Resident Evil Revelations. After an excellent reception from gamers on the Nintendo 3DS the title is now spreading to consoles and the PC for a HD revival.

In addition to its bloody appearance the swimming pool will offer floats in the form of human torsos, feature brains and intestines as lane markers, have Zombie lifeguards on duty and even offer a diving board in the form of a ‘freshly killed human corpse’. Those brave enough to dive down to bottom will find Resident Evil merchandise to retrieve and keep littered around the bottom of the pool.

The event is apparently going to be held in Jupiter Wharf, Hackney, London E3 2PL in the shadow of the Olympic Stadium. It is an industrial area of Hackney near Hackney Wick overground station and you will be required to make your own way there. Exact details of the event will be released to ticket holders the day before via email.

You can grab your free tickets on 20th May from here. So if you are a big Resident Evil make sure to grab your tickets ASAP during the 20th since there are only 100 available for each day. The event will take place on 25th and 26th May. Don’t forget your towel and goggles to wipe off all that blood. Resident Evil: Revelations is due for release on 24th May on the Playstation 3, XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii U and PC.
