Like Games? Like Booze? Then this is the event is for you. Their café in Falmouth is based on the gaming cafés of Tokyo. Now Loading is treating the lovely folks of London with a two-day open event.
Loading is one of the only gaming cafe/bars in the UK. They are hosting the event to offer gamers and coffee conosures somewhere to drink, relax and play.
Starting Wednesday 13th March they will be showcasing their potential London venue in Soho. From 12pm onwards you can enjoy a drink and have a great time. This is a chance for people to sample what it is that Loading does and prove that there is a need in London for a space to drink, relax and play.
Current Gen, Old Gen, Board games; if it can fit in their van they are bringing it down. During the event there will be a Wii U, Xbox 360s and a retro console (not sure which one it is but lets take a shot in the dark and say a Nintendo 64). As well as some good old gaming action there will be videogame-themed cocktails (really looking to trying a few of these).
Loading’s resident artist Cosmic will also be drawing on the walls live during the event. Feel free to RSVP via Facebook.
Geekpub will be at Loading Soho for their next meetup from 7pm on Thursday, March 14. GeekPub is a social mixer for ‘geeks and friends of geeks’. They hold casual meetups at pubs and hold many other special events throughout the year. See their meetup.com page here (if you want to).
The event takes place at Madd, 53 Rupert Street W1D 7PH (nearest tube is Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus) from 12 till 11 late. And yes, entry is free (Velocity Gaming likes free).
